Customer gave me a recurve, what is it?

A customer found out that I bowhunted and he went to his attic and pulled a recurve out and gave it to me.

It was made by Indian archery, and is their "Seneca" The label says 264-62. another place has this written in pen... L62W40 , I'm assuming that it's 62" long and is a 40 pound draw weight. Underneath that is c2341, which I am assuming is the serial #.

From what I have found is that Indian archery has been in business for years, and makes youth bows and institutional (schools) bows, arrows, targets, etc.

So, is there anything else that you can tell me?

i dont know too much about the bow...but if its not cracked anywaer or twisted in the limbs and has solid limb tips it would be a great starter bow at 40 LBS
sounds like your right about the meaning of L62W40

hey T-mug you gotta string for that bow????

I cleaned it up, and it is in real good condition, it's straight and there are no cracks. there is no string but a 53" string should fit, and I've seen them for around 5 bucks on the net so I should be able to get one real easy. But I'm thinking I'll just hang it on the wall in my office, but who knows, maybe it would be real easy to take it to the back yard and toss a few shafts across the yard.

Yeah, after I posted I thought it was 57" that I read. I've been reading about making my own. It sounds like it would be fun.
