problem with arrow flight
Can some one explain this, I'm shooting 27" carbon express maxima hunters 250 and 350s with 100 grain slick trick heads out of a mathews xt 70 lb 26" drawand they are dead on at 20 to 40 yards, but when I install lumenocks or archers flame nocks they cork screw and hit 4" left, and when I put the others back inthere dead on. Do you think my foc is off and maybe I should go with a heavier head.I don't have any 125s this is why I"m asking. Thanks for any info

RE: problem with arrow flight
Do the luminocks or AF nocks fit on the string tighter than the CX nocks?

RE: problem with arrow flight
I think FOC could be a real possibilty especially with the weight (check on that, but they are heavy IMO) of the LN on the rear end of the arrow.

RE: problem with arrow flight
Thanks for the reply BobCo19-65 I think I try some heavier heads

RE: problem with arrow flight
Just remember that you may have a spine issue then. Although from what I hear, carbons are not all that sensitive to spine.

RE: problem with arrow flight
let me explain my above post - I get rid of ANYTHING that makes my arrows fly badly.
I'd love to shoot wood shafts - cant keep them absolute straight. I'd love to shoot 3" vanes, my big feathers stabilize my arrows better. I'd love to use all enamel paints on my caps/crowns, don't bond well. I get rid of that stuff, I use what I've found to be bomb proof I'd rather shoot what works than what I would like to shoot that doesn't |
RE: problem with arrow flight
OK , Buster t. I under stand your point butI'm just toying around with these light nocks, andI agree 100% with anything that causes bad arrow flight get rid of it. But would still like to knowwhat the problem is. Thanks tj craig for the info

RE: problem with arrow flight
I think they could be used as a pretty good tool for the trad person. I know of an instinctive shooter that shoots in the dark at a target lighted by a laser pointer. To me, since there is no immediate feedback, I don't understand why he does this unless he is just trying to see how accurate he can be in the dark. But I bet with one of these lighted nocks, you could get a real good feel for the trajectory of the arrow. That is as long as it is flying true.
