Shooting High

I am new on the Trad scene and have been shooting for about three months now. I am shooting a Browning Wasp 40#@28", but i pull to a 30" DL. At twenty yards i am perfect in the horizontal plane, but vertically i am about 6" high.I am shotting a glove with a three finger under style. Would switching to a split style grip help this, or is it something else?

quite a few different things you could do...

first of which, I think I'd bust out a bow square and make sure the nock hasn't moved...

Shooting split will generally raise your point-on range--so you'd hit even higher. If you are shooting gap, just pick a lower spot. If you are shooting "instinctive", after you shoot enough your brain will compensate for you.

If you are shooting 3 under your string nock is too low at 1/8". Move it up to 5/8" and perhaps to 3/4". If your bow is not tillered for a 3 under grip it requires a higher nock point.

if your arrows are bare shaft tuned and are flying great, YOU need to change, not your bow !

Pope:
I agree. It's fun.
But I thinkyour nock is too low at 1/8"

Hatchet:
for a bow tillered 3-under, 3/4 sounds quite high...
5/8 or 1/2 I'd take.
