RE: Flect ?

I use a Bitzenburger or BPE Proand fletch tape, helical fletch. I use both left and right wing feathers. Usually use 5" sheild, but have some 5.5" and have used 4" in a 4-fletch before. Fletch tape is the best thing to come along since somebody put a pocket on a t-shirt--quick, easy, clean, and works. My favorite colors, that I can see the best, are chartruese, yellow, and pink. Since I have several other colors that don't show up as well, sometimes I'll glue a chartruese marribou feather (from the craft store) just in front of the nock--much more visable in flight. A thin strip of dyed rabbit fur works also.

I'm not sure on the Grizzly Sticks, but I do know on aluminum and most carbon you don't need a special cleaner--acetone works just fine. On carbon and aluminum I clean both the shaft and the feather, on wood I just clean the base of the feather. This gets rid of the dirt and oils that accumulate from your skin.

thats a cool idea (new/cool to me anyway)with the Marribou feather in front of the knock for a tracer.....how long do you trim it ??? Marribou feathers are the same feathers tied into fishing flys or some crappie jigs right?

Yep, same feather--usually a lot cheaper if you get them from a craft store or the craft section instead of a fly-tying store.

I don't trim them. I strip them from the quill, and they are usually short feathers anyway. Put some glue on and wrap it around--quick and easy. Works great, an it's a lot cheaper than lighted nocks or super bright feathers, etc.
