Glove question
do ya'll keep a glove or tab for practice and another for hunting? I would think the leather would hold a lot of scent. I would hate to get busted because of a smelly glove.

RE: Glove question
Personally, I have a few gloves broken in. But I always have one that I like best. That's the one that I usually find myself practicing and hunting with. Never paid too much attention to the scent of it. But I do try to play the wind when hunting as much as possible.

RE: Glove question
I try to keep at least 2 or 3 broken in--generally carry at least two with me to tournaments, especially in hot weather, because they get soaked. I'll use one while the other dries out.
They can stink--I spray mine down with scent killer before I go hunting. Chad |
RE: Glove question
It's easier to keep a couple of tabs set aside for hunting because they're pretty inexpensive and fit isn't nearly as critical. You trim a tab to fit anyway.
A favorite glove is usually the only one you've got that really fits your hand the way you like, and that's why you generally use it for everything. To cut down the scent, I'll soak my sweaty old glove in a pan of warm water for an hour, squeeze it out a few times, rinse it under warm running water, then wear it until it dries. Then I rub it down with Montana Pitch Blend. |
RE: Glove question
I definitey have a favorite glove and I hunt and practice with it. I also learned that there is a huge difference between the $9 glove and the $30 glove.
