Crusader Brace hieght
I think I have found the sweet spot on my 62" Crusader at 8 1/4inches. Does this seem a little high for this bow? What is the normal range? Thanks for your help.

RE: Crusader Brace hieght
Sounds very high. The last 62" I shot was super quiet at 6.5" (measured from the throat of the grip). My 66" and 64" are at around 7".

RE: Crusader Brace hieght
Too high. Mines at 6 7/8" and I think the max is at 7 1/2" for that model.
Make em sharp and shoot em straight, or leave em home. |

My crusader is 62" also. I was messing with the BH and it got real quiet and I measured it and it was a little over 8". Done some checking and found that was higher than suggested. Ended up at
7 1/4. It's OK but not as quiet as at 8. I recently added 2 more silencers and it is now quiet as it was at BH 8 with only 2. |
RE: Crusader Brace hieght
I was kinda surprised to find out that folks were using a BH under 7" for the Crusader. I had mine set at 7-9/16" and it seemed to be shooting fine.
After reading this thread, I reduced my BH to 6-7/8" and went to the Archery Shop today to shoot at the indoor range. It was a bit tough going at first because I was getting a lot of slap on my arm with the reduced BH. After I settled down and established good form and focus, I was amazed with the results. Out to 15 yards I was grouping within 2" with a 3 arrow group. The bow was SHOOTING where I was AIMING it!! I was getting some scatter at 20 yards to about 6", I think it was because of a lack of focus on point of aim. I was endeavoring to focus on making adjustments in elevation due to the increased distance, and as a result I was opening up the grouping. I seldom practice beyond 20 yards and do not setup for a shot beyond 15 yards. That is a luxury I have in the Lowcountry of SC because the woods are so thick with undergrowth the shots are often less than 5 yards!!
