New bow

Well, the little lady and myself enjoyed attending the Gene Foster Traditional Rendezvous over last weekend. Didn't shoot too bad and actually, for not having shot her bow more than a couple of times all year, the wife did real well too.

Now the good news. The wife bought 2 of the available 50, 10.00 raffle tickets for a Tim Meigs duo-flex longbow and Tim drew her ticket and she won. :) Instead of kissing up and ordering one for me, which she actually wanted me to do, I told her to order what she wanted. I made sure the weight was right for her draw 43-47# @26" and then walked away and let her and Tim pick out the woods, length and all of that. He says about 6 months, but we will see. He had a whole pad full of bows needing to be built just from attending the shoot. Pretty cool eh?

Make em sharp and shoot em straight, or leave em home.

Cool--congrats to the wife! Reckon she will let you reclaim your recurve after she gets her bow?
