Default ASAT Ultimate 3D camo report

I was out ground hunting Saturday afternoon in this new 3 dimensional suit (I call it my Ghillie-lite suit). Now, the following report doesn't mean that if I was wearing another camo suit it would not of been the same......just that this outing I was wearing it and this is what I experienced.

Soon after I set up I heard the familiar noise of deer walking on downed oak leaves (FYI the area I was hunting was a very heavily hunted public land site very close to a major eastern metropolitan city). In a short time I saw a 140-150lb doe feeding 16yrds away. She never acted as if she saw me. Even with her rump was another doe was with her at about 12yrds away. 2 more doe's followed behind these the closest was 18' away from me. This last doe senced something...she steadily looked in my direction wagging her tail, bobbing her head, and trying to identify me. I stayed motionless and this deer kept playing games with me and getting closer and closer. This went on for 10 or more minutes till she was a longbow length from me and feeding. By know I could hear more deer coming and the other 3 does were beside and behind me. I was almost in the middle of this herd.

Suddenly a doe behind me bolted and stopped....then I heard a crack...yeah you guessed it another bowhunter was walking in and the herd bolted to parts unknown. This bowhunter heard the bolting herd and continued to within 10yrds of me still not detecting my presence till I said well you spooked that heard. I thought he was going to jump out of his skin he was so startled. He apologized for bolting the herd but I assured him it was OK...shoot this IS public land and there was no way that he could of known I or the herd was there as he came in.

Anyway....today....the ASAT Ultimate 3D camo worked on fooling a herd of whitetail to 5' away from my position on the ground. I'm sold!

Jim, sounds like the morning was a success with no arrows fired. Nothing better than knowing your camo works. I did the same thing to a guy a few years ago. I gave him a "good morning" that nearly gave him a heart attack.
