RE: recurve bow hunter ?
I have hunted Birds, Rabbits, Squirrel and Whitetail with my recurve since I was 12 years old (I'm 34 now) and can honestly say that taking a deer with a traditional bow is very rewarding.
The first deer I took with it was five feet away. I watched it come in for 20 minutes. When she got into a blind spot I drew back (60#) and waited for her to emerge again. The picked my spot and let her fly.
She ran about 20 yards and dropped.
I highly recommend hunting with traditional bows.

Me too , started two years ago but haven't punctured anything as of yet . We can't use crossbows during our early archery period(yet) , so I bought a recurve to hunt that time frame to extend my time afield .

I guess you missed his rants on crossbows. He went off one time and ran a post to 20 pluse pages on how crossbows should be banned in the modern bow forum. I got a kick out of it. Sybil is good for a laugh here and there.
