left hand getting cut

My left hand (the one that holds the bow) Keeps getting sliced by my fletching

I use 5.5 inch shield cuts with Left Helical. Other than wear a glove on my bow hand is there a solution?

I tried trimming the bommom of the quill down but to no avail.

what kind of bow are you shooting that allows the fletching to pass that closely to the hand ? A Robertson shelf is cut ultra low but even with shooting that I never, ever got feather cuts ??

Do you shoot cock feather in? or out? try changing?

I get cut once in a while, but that is not too often. I agree with changing the position on the cock feather. Or moving to a lower profile feather.

Also where are you getting cut? On the hand or finger? Is your finger wrapped around the back of the bow or pointing toward the target?

BH I used to have that problem a lot. Found two things to help.

1. Raise brace height a little.

2. Found some of my fletchings and a sharp point on the leading edge. Trimed it down with a razzor and coated with Fletch Tite.

Wa LA. End of cuts.

Im only going by what i have read, but you might look at using left helical, instead of right. Like I said, I have only read about this info, Ive never had the problem, so I could be completely wrong.
