Yoopermike, For myself, if my average shot was 20 yards or under, then no I wouldn't worry about the arrow or weight to a point. I have shot POC that varied 55 grains per shaft and you/I couldn't tell the difference, they still hit the same spot. But that a POC and a Hickory shaft and shoot both. you will see what I am talking about.
