I need help making a wooden arrow for research on primitive hunting. anyone interested?

If you can get ahold of the books "Bows and Arrows of the Native Americans" by Jim Hamm and/or "The Bowyers Craft" by Jay Massey, there is a lot of good info on making primitive arrows from wood and cane.Not to mentiongood instructions on making primitive bows: self bows, sinew backed and composite.

Thanks for the info Arthur, I'll check it out. The sending arrow (wismahi yeyapi) has a notch in the middle of the shaft. It is launched with a four ft ash whipping stick that has a 3 ft string with a knot on the end. You lay the arrow behind you and whip it over your head. The Sioux used it for hunting ducks and geese on open water. Just curious as to how accurate it could be so I am trying to replicate one.
