I prefer the K.I.S.S. method. From what I've read every arrow needs an insert that cost's like $20. I could buy a bow for what that rest costs.

I was thinking I could use duct tape and wood glue to stick it on my riser. Or maybe I will mount it on my Olsage bow with raw hide glue and leather thongs. I just have to figure out how to get one of them inserts in a wood arrow.

Take lengths of aluminum arrow - a Legacy, for sure -and epoxythem onto the front of your cedars. Put the insert in that. Take the rest of the epoxy and glue the rest on your osage bow. Maybe wrap some rawhide around the thing to make it look traditional, and there you go! [8D]

Good idea AP

All kidding aside, it is a vary neat idea. Way to much going on for me. I would love to hear the screams in the woods when that thing gets bumped out of alighnment, no quick fix there. I heard just to buy one ya need a Dr. inNuclear science, andbeen a fan of Nascar for at least 4 years(ow I shouldnt have said that).

I was just thinking about it the other day, the day I shot with a guy who used a drop away rest was the same day I said I am going to start practicing with the recurve.

Mine has bushings for that kind of stuff , but the only one I use has a standard plastic rest in it . The stick ons just wouldn't hold up long enough .

How does your spine affect that thing ? I would think that the arrow flexing as it went through could cause some contact .

I was thinking the same thing Kevin. Must not start flexing tell it leaves the bow??????

I showed it to A relative of mine (compound guy) he loved it and says he is getting one. I told hime to save his money.
