RE: Hogs hogs hogs
Looks like a great place for a spot-and-stalk hunt! Did my first successful hog hunting like that earlier this year and loved it. We were in GA, where bait isn't legal, and my personal preferance is a fair chase hunt anyhow.Spot-and-stalk is definately fair chase. Actually I think it's a bit unfair to the hunter--hogs can't see very well, but those big noses are used for more than just rooting around. I got busted by several, but I can't wait to get out and do it again. Just wish it didn't take 5-6 hours to get there!

RE: Hogs hogs hogs
I've seeing quite a few like that in the swamps and once in a while they come to the feeders,600 lbs and up.
But for eating the smaller ones are preffered,Although I don't eat pig I enjoy shooting them and trying different arrows and broadheads on them. |

RE: Hogs hogs hogs
Then How About A dead One ?
I found this one in my attic it was my first lifesize boar 35 years ago. This was a 300 Lbs + Hog that killed 5 dogs, so I turned him to bacon. It took 9 arrows back then with a Ben Pearson longbow. ![]() |
