Arrow length Question
I have a1/2 doz of full length ceders with glued 100 grain field tips andseem to be throwing them down range fairly well.I have another 1 &1/2 dozwaiting to bemounted with a glue on 50 grain screw type for broad heads. The question is do I cut these tomy draw length 28-1/2 inches or leave them full length. The new ones WILL be used for hunting. So the head weight will be as follows: Broadhead 125gr, glue & screw head50gr for a total of 175grheadweight. I just don't want to screw em up. Thanks for your input.

RE: Arrow length Question
You'll want them an inch or so longer than your draw length. That way your broadhead won't contact the riser at full draw. My draw length is 29" I cut my arrows to 30".

RE: Arrow length Question
You want clearance for your broadhead for sure, but if that next doz. and a half arrows is the same spine as the ones with field points, they won't fly the same. Adding an inch to the length will reduce the effective spine by about 5 pounds. The extra 75 grains of point weight will further reduce the effective spine, by around 15 pounds.
