Osage Dimensional lumber
 
in 3 rivers archery they have Osage Dimensional lumber it says for laminated wood bows. the lumber does not follow growth rings and backing of some sort is required it is 5/8x1 1/2 x 72". if i get that can i make a long bow out of it , as if it were from a tree, and can i just use hickory backing strips. if i can do that iis the some where that i can get more info on how to do it

Not if it is 5/8" of an inch, you can get Osage staves on ebay real cheap.
Just type in Archery bow staves.
