Ever heard of GilaLongbows?
 

Makes some fine looking bows. But makes some claims that his solid wood long bows are the fastest in the business. Even compared against bamboo backed bows. I think thats the way I read it on his webpage.

I've heard of them before but never have actually seen one. Can't say yay or nay about how they shoot or anything. I went and checked out his webpage though. http://www.gilalongbowcompany.com/index.html

After looking at his prices, I'm darn happy I make my own! Might not be as pretty, but I can afford mine. ;)
