LongBow

I have one i picked up at a pawn shop a while back for like $40 and was shotting it today. I only have one arrow and would like some advice as to what kind of arrow work best. Also on what i can to to quiet it down some and how far the average shot would be. I think at full draw its #60. I was shooting at about 15yards and hittin the 8" circle, not sure what i should practice at. I will try to get a picture up.

Thats looks like a 60inch bow 35pounds at 28inch draw. To light to hunt with.

The first thing I would do is check that brace height..... It "looks" way to high...... Take a tape measurer and measure from the deepest part of the grip to the string.... Let us know what it says....

That's a good startup bow. Use it to get your form established. It'd be fine for chasing rabbits and squirrels too. That's what Pearson used to call a modified recurve. It'snot the full hook recurve like most of us are used to seeing.

Brace height should be 6 3/4" to 7 1/2".

i got 8.5" from the inside of the grip to string.

You need a longer string then, to get it down within that 6 3/4 - 7 1/2" range. It'll shoot a lot better and faster. A 14 strand B-50 string, 60" AMO would be just right, if you can find one. If you can't, I'm pretty sureyou can order one from Chad.
