It's ON!!
 

One of my best friends was down from upstate NY for the weekend to attend a big Sport show in my area and he's also an avid bowhunter and just started shooting traditional bows this past year as well........after shooting some of my recurves the bet was made.

The exact terms of the bet have not been laid out yet but it revolves around who will be the first to take a deer next year with our respective recurves.:)Any legal animal is fair game.
(We have already made it clear that only good clean shots well within our personal effective range will be taken in fairness to the animals we're after, and to avoid trying toforce something in order to win the bet.)

We will update each other daily of our happenings in our quest to each take our first deer with traditional gear.

Well I guess there's no turning back now?[:-] I don't think I've been this excited for a bowseason that seems light years away now.I flung 60 arrows in my basement tonight just thinking about it.
Both of us have killed a boatload of deer with a bow but somehow the feeling of it has already changed.

I think if I were in that position, I would go to a game ranch and shoot my exotic deer first:D:D

If nothing goes wrong, I'll be headed out next Thursday for a few days of chasing GA hogs with my longbow--if I get one, I'll have to send someone the picture to post--I'm computer illiterate.

9 months?? Hmmm.... I've heard of a gestation period similar to that before. What was it now??? Oh yeah! That's how long I had to hide in the spare bedroom while my wife was pregnant and doing stuff like this!
