Bummer! Well, Christmas is only 11 months away--hang in there!

One thing to keep in mind--depending on what bow you want, there may be a long wait--it wouldn't hurt to check around now, as you may want to get the order in early.

Shovel some snow, rake some leaves, mow some grass....... It doesn't take much to get a good longbow.....

I have a fibeglass long bow that shoots very well I can let you have it.

That is what I used it for rabbits and squirrells and I got a gray fox once and a coon.

It is 62 or 64 inches and it is right @40 with a 28"draw,

If you can use it send me a mailing address by PM.
It is a nice old bow to work up to a good one and also build your shooting muscles.
It is my Christmas gift although I don't celebrate Christmas in December,LOL
My grandson is your age.

RE: I coulda had a longbow!!

JUST GOT IT TODAY!!!:D:Dmy mom picked me up from school then at home she reachedaround the wall and pull the box around and i was shocked. i quickly pulled it out, and TRIED to sting it to pull it back. well there must be a trick to it or somethin, but my mom helped a little and i got it strung. i pulled it back, and i can tell i need to practice workin those muscles cause holdin it for jus alittle bit my arms started to shake, i guess im to used to the 65% let off on my compound. then i tried to unstring it and it took a few tries but i finally got it. i jus cant wait for the weather to clear up quite a bit now(we jus got like 4-5 inches of snow last night) and get some arrows and shoot up a target!!

Thanks A TON again Alex. i will love to shoot it in the future.

Tyler.

That is why I sent you that one, that is a muscle builder, I use it off season and shoot 12 arrows everyday, that way my muscles don't go limp. If you shoot everyday like that in 1 week you will be pulling it with ease.

That little bow can take down a deer, it is a collectable, I have anotherone Just like it.

Once you get into it and you think you like it, we'll talk about getting you a nice wooden one that I make.OK ?

Shalom(Peace)

Stringing a bow: Click link in bottom for more instructions: Make sure bow is over the shoe not the hard ground.

TO UNSTRING BOW:
Reverse the process above. It is a good idea to string and unstring your bow several times until it becomes easy and natural to do. As well, you should take the string off the bow when you have finished shooting.

The ARROW:
The arrow nock always has the groove positioned so that the index vane (Figure 3) clears the bow in the best fashion.

NOCKING THE ARROW:
Place the arrow nock groove on the string, Make sure the arrow nock groove is completely seated on the string. The arrow should be 9O degree (right angle) to the string.
(Figure 4) If nock point is installed on string: Place arrow UNDER nock point (not over).
