Falcon Makes Meat!!

I just worked midnight shift and came home this morning and
decided to go hunting. I own 5 acres that is sandwiched by two
farms. I made my way through my woods and into a home made
tree stand my father in law put up for my wife for gun season.
I normally hunt from the ground but decided to try my luck in
the tree stand. At 7:30 I was in the stand. At 8:00 am three
does came in from the east heading straight to the stand. The
lead doe came to within about 10 yards giving me a downward
shot at her lungs. I came to full draw, hit my anchor but the
arrow hit a little high. I watched her run west of the stand
with the arrow buried to the fletch. I waited another 20 minutes
and went back to the house for breakfast and to wait because
I didn't think I made a good hit. At 10:00 am my wife and I decided
to start tracking. At 11:00 am we finally found her! My 160
gr. zwickey and 55# Chek Mate Falcon made a clean kill. I will

Here's the doe and I in the Ohio Valley woodlands. If anyone is
curious, I used a 55#@27" Chek Mate Falco Special, Flemish string
Dyna 97 from Champion Bowstrings, 55/75 Gold Tip carbon arrows,
Zwickey 2 blade 160 gr. bh's, and a Catquiver.

That's a beautiful deer. Huge belly too! Since you said Ohio Valley I'm going to guess you're in zone C?? Hope the rest of your season goes equally well.
