RE: fletching jigs

LBR, have never used the tape, but it looks like I will have to try it. What would be a fast drying glue, as of now I use fletch tight platnum. It dosn't dry all that fast but it holds good. For the most part I just replacethem 1fether at a time, its not that often that I have 12 arrows to do up.

thanks for all of your advice guys (and girls if there are any). Just curious what would you guys rate some of the jigs out there? From 1 - 10.

Guss, I've used Super Glue, but only on wood arrows. I think there's some quick drying glues for carbon and maybe aluminum on the market--not sure if regular super glue will work on those.

As for rating:

Bitzenburger-10
BPE Pro-8
Jo-Jan-8
Arizona E-Z Fletch-1

I have used only a bitzen, and it dose its job. The thing that you need to look at when buying a vice for Traditional arrow is, will it put a Helical, or degree of twistin or not. Some of the cheeper vices are just made to put a straight feather on.

You can buy one bitzen and then buy new clamps to go from helical to straight fletching. I think you can even go from left to right helical on the same base, but I may be wrong. This vice can be adjusted to match just about any arrow.

I would rate this vice as a 9, It dose its job and has never caused me any truble. The only problem is the $$$, but you get what you pay for.
