Twas three days before rifle
And all threw the wood

Yah I wrote that :)

I have 3 days left to hunt with the bow befor the flood gates are opened. I am going to make the best of it and hunt all day for the next 3 days. I have had good luck hunting the days before rifle season. It is like the deer are waiting for a bomb to go off.

I will be hunting with the gun the last week of rifle, that is unless I get two deer this weekend.

We're already two weeks into gun season here. Actually got out the crossbow today and plunked a few bolts. It's ready to go. Whether or not it gets taken is a different matter.;)

Guss I'm in your boat and feelin the pain also.I've been hitting it hard and coming up short.So far I've seen 8 -1 1/2 old bucks and a bunch of does, nothing I wanted to shoot at.The weather has not been on our side either,warm and windy.I'll still carry the bow on opening day of gun,it's been a tradition of mine for the last 8 years.
