archery supplies
I've decided to start making my own arrows, meaning buying the shafts (aluminum for now), cutting them, putting on the feathers, etc. Anybody have recommendations on where to buy the various feathers, points, nocks, shafts, etc from? I will probably pick up a Bitzenbuger jig on ebay.
Thanks! Doug |

There are lots of suppliers. I like Joe and Becky Stark at Lone Wolf. A smaller operation, good people, good prices, good inventory.

RE: archery supplies
I will second Joe & Becky, they are great people to deal with. Here's a little story. I was at a shoot where they were set up and told Joe I wanted him to make a new string for my longbow, he said no problem but his hands were kinda sore and he doubted he would get to it while I was shooting. Well, when I finished the course he walked up to me and handed me my string and said here ya go. Now that's not really a big deal, the thing is about a week later I got another string in the mail with a letter saying sorry it took so long for me to get this made. I called Joe and said that he had made the string the day I was at the shoot, so how much do I owe him for the second string, he says it was my mistake no charge. It's only a little thing but that demonstrates the way they do business.... Just my .02

RE: archery supplies
Do some research on folks that have delt with F/S. I used to buy from them, but I'll only get stuck once. Some folks seem to have had nothing but good luck, but several of us got the short end of the stick at one time or another.
