Best cheap recurve??
 

InterNature,Samick,Ragim,Bear,PSE,Martin,Bear.. I've looked at all of these on archeryexperts and i really like some of them but i dont know anything about recurves except the fact that i love you shoot them. I really dont wanna spend more than $300 at most. I dont plan on using it for deer any season soon but definitly small game. but you never know. Thanks guys.

I would recomend a Martin X-200 cheap and shoot nice. Go for maybe 250ish.

ALSO YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK OUT T Q BOWS OF HOUSTON TX. I BAUGHT ONE AND USE IT FOR BOWFISHING AND IT IT GREAT. I HAVE ALSO TAKEN ABOUT 4 HOGS WITH IT AND HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.

I really think a person would be happier with a Chek-mate Falcon than a martin or bear. Just my opinion, but I really don't like the black glass bows as much ....and you save money on a Chek-mate too. About $225 for a standard Falcon or about 325 for a martin hunter or about 400 for a bear grizzly ? What's not to like ? ;)
Clear glass limbs and great performance.

LBR here is a dealer (recurves.com) and all around good guy. Also greg at G&M archery in mn is a good guy and dealer too. (gmarchery.com)

I'd also recommend you stay with a 45 or 50 pounder for your first recurve. 45 is plenty for deer and will help you develop good form. Trust me on this one, I went to a heavier bow too soon and developed the dreaded target panic. Now shooting a 51 pounder and having much more fun.

I bught a falcon from LBR. Best darn bow I have ever shot. 225.00 are you kidding me!!!!! this bow should be sold for 700-900 Bucks I think they shoot better than just about anything Ive shot. I love mine , Get one and don't look back.. Best bow!!!!! for under a 1000.00

Lol--don't worry Art--it's not the first time I've heard that. Had a couple of folks in the business get a bit irratated with me for not raising the price, but.....they had the option of lowering theirs.

I have a PSE Kudu I bought from archery experts. I gave about $235 for it and its worth every dollar. I havn't hunted deer with it yet but i have shot a squirrel and numerous rabbits. Real consistent shooting bow.

Chad, I for one am very glad chek-mate is around and am very glad I can afford to have multiple chek-mates and not just one 'big shooter'.

I know to many reading these posts it must seem like we're all on the payroll, but the truth is they may not be the bestest bow in the world for everyone...and they may not be liked by everyone. Some people may be slightly dissappointed after hearing all the hoopla......probably not though.

I am convinced that they are the best bow...for the money, and better than many others that havehigherprice tags. I'm talking performance +. If you want to spend more and feel better about a bow that may look more exotic and have an absolutely flawless hand rubbed finishI think that's great. (got one of those too ;) )

I call the chek-mates 'work horses'and a true value...again, I'm thankful I can find so many different and excellent bow designs at a price I really can afford. To have a bow with such good performance AND good looks under clear glass....that's just a bonus. :)

Now.....where's my single piece Hunter 2 ? ;)
...actually been thinking more about that and would also suggest a 60" Raven style. Short riser, nice long limbs, good deflex to the handle...man that thing would SMOKE em' .....even if they made it with hybrid longbowlimbs ??? Huh ? huh ?
