My new recurve

Hello everyone, I am new here to the traditional fourm. I have been a bowhunter for many years and always have used a compound. I have a good friend of mine that got me into traditional archery here a couple of years ago and I had the good fourtune of taking deer with it last season. Wow was that a thrill, it was just like shooting my very first deer with my compound,,,,maybe even more so. Any whoo, my first recurve was a Wes Wallace "Partner" bow that was given to me as a tip, I am an outfitter and guidein Northwestern Ontario for bear and moose, and I promised him when I got good enough with it I would try for a deer. Well, he was to camp here last week with another gift. The bow is in the picture below, he made it! The riser is a real Elk antler and he made the limbs, arrows, and the string. Thought you might all enjoy a picture of my new baby. I about fell over when he gave it to me, and also he had made bows for my other 2 guidesas well. Now I promised him after a while of practice that I will have to go and get me a deer with it this fall. I've got a little practice ahead of me.
Anyway, thought you all might enjoy the bow, and appricate it more than in the regular fourm.

Thought I would throw in a picture of the deer I got with my recurve last winter. Got to love them snowy evenings.
Thanks,

Congratulations on your bow kill!:)

That bow though.[:-] I've been shooting bows for 50 years and have never seen an antler used for a riser before. That is way cool!

Thanks Arthur,
Here is a picture of the fella that made me that bow, and his first elk antler bow, and a 385# blackie he took withit last year. And let me tell ya', this guy can shoot that thing, his bear only went 25yards.
Thanks again

Hello
That bow does look pretty neat. I've also never seen a bow riser made from an antler. Good luck hunting with it.
