Almost ready

Took my Pearson hunter ( 1967 ) to the bow shop today and got a stringer & a new rest. Was out of tabs & fingers , but should be there when I pick the arrows I ordered as well up. If everything goes right will be shooting it Monday. Figured I'd learn on this and buy a new one for next season. Will be using the compound hunting as I dont feel comfotable as of yet to hunt with the recurve. Any good recurves for around $300 ? Something I wont have to wait 6 mos for ? Thanks

Most trad bows require some kindof wait if ya cannot find something in stock. Law of the Land. I'd check with Chad (LBR) here, as I know some of the Chek-Mates run 3 bills or under (just paid $285 w/ shipping for a newAtilla).

Bear and Martin probably have a few in that price range.

I've owned a few custom bows, and some production bows from Martin & Bear. I'm no expert by any means, but IME the "production" bows are serviceable weapons with good performance, and will kill deer like nobodies business...but few of them compare to a custom offering..not just looks either...butthey way draw for a given poundage, quality of construction, comfy grip, etc, etc...You may wanna go w/ a used custom.
