Default Huntin' Music

Stealing a topic from the "bowhunting" forum that caught my eye.

Just recently I was exposed to some music I'd never heard before, by Jim Bowman. It was GREAT! Jim is a traditional hunter, and almost all of the songs on the two CD's I heard were about traditonal archery (he had two about geese and guns). He sings about Howard Hill, Ishi, hunting, etc. One of my favorites is "The Moose Is Loose". Those songs REALLY got me stirred up (as if it wasn't bad enough already). Jim's songs are going to be on a new stringmaking video that will hit the market in a few weeks, and I'd recommend them to anyone that likes good music and loves to bowhunt.

So, what gets you "in the mood"?

Chad

Alright Waylon,

Have you heard Toby Keith's Honky Tonk U? Sounds very much like Waylon.

When I'm traveling with my Partner, it's always county. Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans (a personal favorite), Brooks and Dunn to name a few.

Well if I am bird hunting I like the Bob and Tom show, and so dose my dog, it is on when I am on the road to my hunting spots. As for music I like old country and the new stuf that sounds old. Waylon is one of my pics to, but I like when he sings with Willie.

When I am at deer camp i dont have much to chose from, lots of hills break up the signals, and I dont have a cd player so I just look for tracks on the road, or maybe that suicidal deer, waiting to be shoot.

Yep Bob, I like Toby Keith....... He's about the only "modern" country singer I listen to. I just love the way he arranges his songs......Waylon was one of a kind and I kick myself for never going to see him before he passed[:@]

Thus the user name! Good tune, and we all miss Bon Scott.
