leasing hunting lands

Does anyone have any experience with leasing property for the purposes of hunting (is there another reason)? I have always hunted public lands or private by invitation and have no experience with this. What are some of the important issues to discuss when negotiating with a land owner?

Most important is money.... Then make sure you have exclusive hunting rights.... Discuss access to the property.....

I would call a realestate agent in the area and ask what the going lease rates are for hunting property.

You're better off just continuing to seek free access , but if you must pay then get everything in writing , preferably notarized , and ensure that every aspect of the deal is clearly spelled out . Don't leave any room for doubt or error . Be prepared to pay through the nose , because you eventually will .
