RE: What type of Bow?
try and fine a shop/store, Archery club where you might fine some one/place that has some long bows and try then out if you can. Also look for some events going on. A good used bow for a first time shoot can be cheaper and you could get luck in fining a bow for you. Start off shooting a bow 45# to 50# at first and going even lighter is also good too. Work on your form after that is done hitting bullseyes will soon follow. It is to your best behalf to find a good traditional bow shop close to you.

Hi Ed, welcome!
I'd talk with Chad (alias LBR). For that much money, you could have a custom Check-Mate built for yourself. Others on the board can vouge for quality. Try the link: http://www.recurves.com/ |

Like I tell everyone, see Rick Welch Volume II. That tape cut my groups in half.
As far as bows, you can get a great bow for $300. If LBR can't help you, check Tradgang classifieds, women-outdoors.com classifieds, etc. |
