newbie question

is it a bad idea to leave a recurve bow strung for long periods of time like a compound or should i unstring it after each use?

If it is a modern Glass backed bow you can technicaly leave it strung, but i don't, I unstring when done for the day.

Like longbow said you can but I dont. The man who mad my bow told me it would be alrite if I left it strung for about a week, just keep it on a flat surface. It only takes a matter of seconds so why not unstring it.
