Martin Savannah setup

I have a new Martin Savannah, and I need a little help setting it up. What brace height and nock point height should I start with? The bow is 55#@28" (I draw 29"), and I'm shooting 30" 2016 arrows.

You should have gotten some general information with the bow. The first thing I'd do is contact Martin or your dealer and ask for the specs.

Just a guess (I've never shot one), but the brace will probably run between 6 1/2 and 7 1/2". I'd start the nock point at about 1/4" above center and adjust according to arrow flight. If you get arrow porpoise (wagging up and down), adjust the nock point until it goes away. You might want to use a piece of masking tape for a temp. nock set until you know where it needs to me, unless you have a nock remover on your pliers.

I have the bow set at the starting point Martin suggests, not sure what it is at this moment, I'll check in the morning. However, I am getting erratic arrow flight, seems to wiggle up and to the right. My question is, what do I change and in which direction do I go to correct this?

Knock point is variable based on arrow set-up and release. My Savannah I have a 7 1/8" brace and a 5/8" knock heigth. Start at a half inch and 7" brace and adjust for quiteness and arrow flight.

What Longbow said. My Savannah is54 lbs. at 29.5 inch drawand I shoot 30.5 2016s with a 125 gr. head. My fistmele is 7" and my nock is 5/8". When I get poor arrow flight it's me, poor release, not the bow.

I dont have a Savannah and have never shot one, but about the arrow flight I second hgsnprs opinion, it is most likly the release. My arrows were flying bad and I did all kinds of things to fix it, like moving the brace height nock height and all that stuff to the bow. Then I worked on my form and that fixed the problem, now when I get bad flight it is now because of me. It is inposible to tell you how to release but when you do it smoth you will know it. I shoot arrows that most have said are over spined for my bow, but for some reason I went with them. They fly great.
