Pheasant rearing facility closing in NY
I personally am not a big pheasant hunter, however it makes me wonder whenthe Pheasant rearing facility closes in NY, what will be next due to budget cuts.
Whats worse is that the humane society applauses it.
Would anyone be in favor of creating a pheasant stamp kind of like the duck stamp?

RE: Pheasant rearing facility closing in NY
I'm totally in favor of a paying for a pheasant stamp here in NY. I belong to 2 hunt clubs that release birds on private/leased land, but I hunt the public areas as well.
I understand having to "tighten the belt", but this could lead to a very slippery slope.

Our wonderful gov. here in Il has been threatening to shut down the entire controlled pheasant hunt program for a couple of years now. The sooner he is impeached & thrown out of office, the better!!

The salt water registry is the doings of the feds. They are even trying to make it that way to catch makeral off a town's peir.. They say it is just away to know how many of what fish is being caught.. But they want to charge a fee for it.. Just another way to make folks pay for a little enjoyment..[:@]
