We we sat in Ben's Walnut Stand, great spot although we didn't see a hair. I'm impressed with this spot and no sooner did we get to the tree, we discovered a new rub right next to the tree we hand stand hung in.

Ben:

And a photo op I thought worthy.

Once again.....amazing camera and editing skills go to Rob/PA Bowyer. I promise one of these days we will get a kill. This was and still is the spot that I feel holds the best potential. Walking in to that rub, gave me chills. Just wasn't the night. Still any night in the stand is a good one for me. I am happy to be thecameraman or the shooter. I count myself as pretty lucky to have someone who feels the same way live so close. This season hasn't featured a shot yet, but I can tell it's gonna be one to remember.

I have a GL2 (miniDV) on a Pass_Thru's arm,

For editing, right now I just have a "Movie Maker" program that came on my Vista laptop. It does a great job and then I publish the movie from Movie Maker onto my laptop and upload it to Photobucket.

About as productive as my morning was, and mine and Tim's evening.........I just don't understand why the deer aren't just falling all over themselves down here with this weather? [&o]I've seen more deer by now on those "indian summer" 80 degree days.

This AM I did manage to get a little close up footage of a pair of wood ducks in the creek I was hunting over, and ALMOST got a mink on film.........quick little bastage.[:-]

Tim' scared all the deer away from Rob's stand so that's something I guess.

And we had a happy ending for Tim's brother on a blood trail.

At least he had gave fair warning that he was in the process of doing so.

Got the word that my second father killed tonight. 5 point. First deer with a bow. Frees up another great stand spot for team RobBen.

Yeah, twildasin texted me letting me know he was hunting my stand. Said he was staring at a doe 42 yards away, good thing he was in the stand and not me.
