Official HNI Rage Broadhead Thread.
This is a thread created for those who truly want to learn more about the Rage Broadhead, as everytime someone wants to inquire our knowledge, it turns into a long debate that they probably cant even understand.
I want this to be an Informative thread for those who want to know more about them from the people who have USED them. Good or Bad. If you havent used this head, Dont come looking for a fight... not that it would ever happen.
What I'd like to see in this thread is....No debating.
1.Thatyou have propeled a Rage BH at a living animal.
2. 2-blade or 3-blade
3. What poundage was being drawn? Arrow weight?
4. How far was the shot taken from?
5. Were you successful in your attempt?
6. How far did the animal retreat before expiring?
7. Your overall opinion of the Rage Broadhead.
8. Pics if possible
Maybe Buckmasters first sticky?[8D]

I give this about 1/2 to 1 day before it's crashed.,......but here goes.
1.Thatyou have propeled a Rage BH at a living animal.
Yes. I took either 6 or 7 whitetails with the head in '07.
2. 2-blade or 3-blade
2 Blade
3. What poundage was being drawn?
66#'s
4. Were you successful in your attempt
Honestly? Yes and No. I have an "unknown". I hit but did not recover a deer using this head, last year. I won't say whether I think it lived or died. I don't have any way of truthfully knowing.
5. How far did the animal retreat before expiring?
Anywhere from 0 yds to over 100....and anywhere in between. It had little to do with the BH and more to do with the hunter, though.
6. Your overall opinion of the Rage Broadhead.
It's the best BH on the market....IF it's shot out of the right setup. It's NOT for everyone.

I have taken 4 WT Deer with the Rage 2 blade, with bows ranging from 61# - 72#, arrow weights from 340gr.- 390gr. 2 deer traveled approx. 30 yards, 1 deer went 50 yards and the other went a whopping 10 yards. This head produced the best blood trails I have ever seen! I will be using The Rage again this season!

RE: Official HNI Rage Broadhead Thread.
Taken multiple groundhogs in the past few weeks with the same Rage 100gr. 3 blade head. Each one looked like it had digested a hand grenade.
Last fall I killed 2 mature does with the 3 blade. Both shots were between 25-35 yards, both well-placed shots. 1 shot was a clean pass-through, the other down to the fletching. Neither went over 60 yards. Both dumped an incredible amount of blood aswell.
Im using a PSE MachX set at 68#. Easton Axis 400 29.5in. arrows. And I will be using these broadheads this fall. Im a firm believer in shooting the best possible equipment money can buy...Its my responsibility.

RE: Official HNI Rage Broadhead Thread.
I took numerous deer with the 2 blade! Actually used the same head 2 times on 2 different deer! They perfom as advertised! They are awsome. i will not however be using them this year as my set-up is a little light for a 100gr. tip! Only downside to this head is the $$. Also if your worried about the head opening in flight cause you don't take the time to check your equipment those little rubber bands used for braces on teeth work well as a back-up. just stretch it over the head and you will be fine! Note...this is not a necesaty if you watch what your doing! don't shove your broadhead down in your quiver, and double check them as you do all your equipment before use!
