Default M40 - First Pictures

First let me say, I started off with the Moultrie D40 and well to put things litely, it was junk. I couldn't get it to take pictures, keep the date, etc. so I called Moultrie support and the woman was very understanding. She said for $50, I could upgrade to the M40 and I wouldn't be sorry.

Man they were not kidding. Much better camera. Battery life is great. Out for 3 days and it's still at 99% (the d40 would be have been below 50%) the date/time, temp, moon phase are all great. I also liked the fact it has software upgrades available which can be downloaded from their site.

Here are my first pictures of deer. Should be nice in a few years.

Jason - The camera is just a step up in models. The configuration is so much easier and a few things I noticed are battery life and response time (usually within a 2 seconds on the first shot.)

npockat32 - No night time pictures yet. I'll post some when I get them.

Thanks guys. I'm very impressed with the camera and the quality. These were the first I pulled so I'm curious to go back out and see what's on it and if there are any night time pictures. I'll be checking later on today.

These are taken in Western PA in my backyard. The camera sits directly behind my storage shed.

The view you see behind is on old farm field that I do hunt. It's about 23 acres of which 20 is field but it works. The valley below is actually the PA Turnpike and the other side is a brandnew community park that is being build.
