Default Every shot......Version III (update page 7& 8)

Guys.....I'd appreciate any pull you guys have with the deer Gods. I told you I'd tell you about every shot, this year.....and here goes VIII.

I had 4 does come in to my set about 7:15, tonight. 3 were wandering around about 25 yds out......and I was torn n whether or not to shoot. Thankfully.........One peeled off and started to wander closer. At 7:20 I took what I thought and still think was a good 10-12 yd shot at her. I saw the hole open up on her back.....and she bolted. I made sure I aimed for the exit hole......and I think it was a good hit.

Lesson to be learned, though.....already. The only light I had on me was a little penlight with a blue lens. When I got down.....I could see that it was a pass-thru....and my arrow was sticking up in the ground. I also saw a "spray" of liquid under the arrow.....but I couldn't tell what color the liquid was in the blue light. Either way.....I was gonna back out. I'm on my porch, right now, waiting her out.

Wish me luck, guys. I need a stretch of good luck, about now.

I used to think so, Bawana. I'll only feel good when I touch her.

I've had a tough go, so far.

The spray is the lung hit. You blew the air out of her. The deer is dead within 75 yds of your stand.

Trust me, buy a nice LED flashlight you tight wad

Germ:

I bought several hundred dollars worth of lights, last year.....after my first tracking job with inferior equipment. I just didn't have one of the little lithium units with me. I have it all ready to go, though......and I'm waiting.

I'm thinking of 9:30? If I get to the arrow and it isn't what I thought (Blood)....I'll back out, again. I cou;dn't tell in the blue light....but there was no fould smell, and lots of spray.
