Default Ethics Police - Question Time

Okay, what would you do if you prepaid $3000 for an all-expense paid weeklong whitetail rut hunt in the Texas Hill Country, on private ranch. Non-refundable, with NO EXCEPTIONS.

Now you get there, only to find that the 18,000 acre ranch is completely enclosed in a 12-foot fence. You obviously had no idea that this was a high-fence hunt, but there's no turning back. You're already there with gun-in-hand and tags prepaid.

What do you do?

I think that you have to hunt and take the best animal you can. I would have asked a head of time but its to late and you will not get your money back. Just go and have a good time, its alot of acreage so go get a big one. Good luck

Hey, you are there already! It's the persons responsibility to check all the facts up front before committing to sending $3,000.

Hey, chalk it up as experience and enjoy your Shooting!

If it were me, I would likely go ahead and hunt.

I would find the first flight home and call my lawyer. Or North Texan in this case

Seriously, 3K I wouldn't do it.

I would still go shooting, not dropping 3K just for a return flight. Might as well get some target practice in while you are there.

18k acres is a big pen. Not nearly the type of high fence hunting we think of. With that many acres, fair chase would apply in my book.

3K is way too much to drop on a hunt and not at least go sit in the woods for a little while. I'd hunt. I'd be pissed off something awful about it though.

Yeah I agree with everyone else. 18K acres is still a large chunk of property. Now if the property turned out to be only like 500-1000 acres, then no, I wouldn't hunt and I would fight for my money back.
