Sounds like you went with good people, great when it works outlike that. Nice looking birds too. I have to make time to try it with a bow one of these years.

Well done Robert. How did you like your short visit to our state? Maybe you can come back for a bit of rutting action some time. You got the super nice weather when you were here. It turned cold here again this week. Congradulations on the turks.

Thanks guys, the Rio/Eastern hybrid is at the taxi now, the Eastern will have a tail/beard/spur mount. Good eatin and beautiful memories.
MOHO, we had 91 degree's on Monday as you know, no rain, sun shine...slightly windy Tue morn but still had a couple birds in and tkycaller scored on his Rio Tue morn. Your state is interesting. On the drive from Tulsa to Altoona we were wondering where on earth/KS could there be turkeys let alone deer. Man did we find out exactly where...LOL I loved the sq mi roads, amazing...can't do that here in PA because of the mountains etc. Imagine, I went from 91 degrees, this morning I had snow on the ground. Here's a photo of the lodge. Look at the whitetials, amazing.

My 1st bird back at camp.

The second mornings setup.

A curious hen, look close she has a tiny beard.

See my arrow after the shot. The turky pole vaulted over the arrow and faded as he ran: Awesome footage to be seen on River Valley Game Calls vol IV of the Headhunters series and perhaps on American Outdoorsman. You can see a feather and blood from the blind.

And there's my bird laying out in the field beyond the hen decoy.

And the crew with tkycaller's Rio:
l-r Denton Wenner, Dennis "wags" Wagner (tkycaller), owner Kurt Nunnenkamp and Me.
