Default Stoeger 2000

Anyboby out there using a Stoeger 2000? I have Bass Pro holding one for me that I am supposed to purchase tomorrow. I have been reading a lot of negative feedback on other forums about misfires. Some blame it on Remington ammo. Some blame it on firing pin and the Inertia system not been strong enough.

I'm looking for an all around auto loader at a reasonable price. Any suggestions?

Default RE: Stoeger 2000

I just bought one. I have about 500 rounds through it. I love it. The only ammo it does not like is winchester X-treme(or whatever there called) waterfowl loads. It wont fully load the 3rd round. But thats it. It will feed anything else I give it. Even super light target loads. Seems very reliable. But I must say it really kicks w/waterfowl loads, I bought a limbsaver. Also put some antisieze on your chokes when you screw them in, they seem to get kind of sticky. Enjoy your gun. I sure like mine.
