Around the Darwin NT area.
Scrub cattle are just domestic cattle that have escaped and multiplied in the bush for a couple of generations. Very flighty and wary of human contact. Had to stalk from about 800 yards. Herd was made up of about 25 cows, 10 calves and a couple of bulls. Stalked to 50 yards and my mate took the young bull with his 243 from around 100 yards after they moved off a little. I had my 308 and was going to try for the big bull if a shot presented itself but it didnt. They are notorius for charging if wounded. These one were nice and clean and going to make some very nice roasts and steaks.
My brother posing with the little bull before butchering began.

Work in progress.
