Cracked Limb???? (PIC)

All these Bowtech cracked limbs stories has me a little concerned. I thought the pic below was just a surface scratch. Is it possible this is a cracked limb? I don't wan't to take any chances. Should I take it into my dealer to take a look at? Thanks.

I may be wrong, but I dont think the crack would go like that, all Ive seen have went parallel to the limb. I'd take it in anyways though, better safe than sorry.

Swamp Dog,
I think your fine........Dk is correct, if a glass limb is going to crack, generally is in a direction parallel to the limb edge either midline near the limb pocket or the edge itself will lift (generally the result of an unseen contact damage to the limb edge)

........if a glass limb breaks down suddenly and completely usually is it is a clean perpendicular break with no warning or a breakdown at an axel hole by improper drilling and these are very rare indeed.(and scary I might add)
If your limb was indeed cracked in the direction your picture shows I think you'd already be wearing your idler as a hat long before this.;)

My cracked limb was more of a slither I could raise with my finger nail and looked nothing like what you have pictured there. It was black underneath BTW. yours looks like a surface scratch from here;)

I have never seen a crack like that before. I agree that most cracks are parellel or somewhat parellel to the limbs. But I have seen some that are perpendicular. I believe that most of those (perpendicular) are caused pressing the bow wrong though.

I've thought all along it was a scratch, but I have never seen a cracked limb so I thought I would ask. I can see black underneath the paint, but it doesn't seem to go any further than that. Thanks for all the answers. Just wanted to double check with all the Bowtech cracked limbs going around. [8D]

[quote] i think you done scratched it,. it really don't look like a crack to me , as the others have said it will crack the length of the limb not sideways
