Having them refletched with fletchings that won't wrinkle is the only way I can thing of to keep them from wrinkling. I've seen where some people cut the whiskers out of the 3 areas that the fletching go through. To unwrinkle the fletchings, I've always turned on a stove burner to high and rotated the fletchings over the burner until they've straightened out. It doesn't take long at all, maybe 5-10 seconds when the burner is on high. Be careful not to get the fletchings too hot as it is possible they will melt.

I also use the whisker biscuit and it does the same thing to my vanes on my arrows. I went to my local Archery shop recently to get 6 good arrows for hunting the vanes they sale on there Aluminum Easton Arrows don't wave or anything. They are a longer and more flexible vane not thick like the tru-flite vanes you can buy. I am not sure of what brand these are I have been meaning to ask and buy some extras so I can refletch my practice arrows.
The people of the archery shop even told me they have not had anybody complain about their vanes waving they even pointed out that thats what it probably is. I didn't think the two different vanes would be all that different but appears they are.
So you might want to try differnt brands of Vanes I believe once you find one you will be surprised yourself.

I use 4&quot; fletchings and haven't had to refletch any due to the biscuit.

I haven't had any problems with my fletchings getting wrinkled up. I'm just using wallyworld specials (CX Terminator 6075). If it comes from wally world, it can't be all that high of quality.

What's bagging a trophy buck worth? For me, a few vanes isn't too high of a price. :)

YoungBuck, I have used the whisker biscuit for about a year now, I had the same problem you are having until i cut out 3 small sections of the whiskers(i use 3 vanes). Since then i have not had any probelms at all, in fact cutting the section out gives me a section to watch the arrow fly (i shoot with the cock vane up). I have found that a blow dryer, set on high will straighten out the wrinkled vanes. Plastic has a certain amount of memory. if you just soften the vanes with heat and let sit, they will pretty much straighten themselves out.

I haven't been shooting the biscuit as long as some most of you but I've been useing feathers and haven't had much problem...they wear a little but nothing to bad. I shot four 4 inch feathers.
