Arrow Length
 

I have been told several different theories on arrow length and wanted to get your opinions on it.
My main question (and pardon my explanation) is how far should the tip of your arrow stick out past the end of the bow? Or should it not be out past the riser at all?
I have a 29" draw and shoot a Hoyt Vipertec w/ a whisker biscuit. I have a dozen arrow that at full draw are 2+ inches out past the front of the grip of the bow. People at my bow league say these are too long and they should not stick out past the end of the bow at full draw.
They say the shorter arrows will be stiffer, fly truer, and hit harder.
Any suggestions or comments?

I let my bareshaft tell me. If I need stiffer arrows I will cut them off. If my spine is good I will leave them long. For target I make a weak, short shaft to keep down on weight. For hunting I use stiff long shaft to get the extra weight.

I bare shaft to check, but before that, I went with the general principle of 1 inch pass the rest. Not riser, but rest. It always worked out pretty well.

Depends. Will your broadheads hit the riser or not? If they dont, then you could cut them shorter, but if they hit, then you'll have to leave them out past your riser. It also depends on your spine. The longer they are, the weaker your spine will be.
