Please help with ACC selection

Looking to try Easton ACC for better spine consistency. Bow - Bowtech MM VFT, 29" DL: Arrow length - 27.5" DW - 65LB. 100g tip, 4" feathers. Can anyone run TAP for me and see what it recommends?

The 3-49's are recommended on the Easton selection chart for your weight and draw length.

Depending on which chart you use you will be either a 3-49 or a 3-39. Easton tends to err on the stiff side so you'd probably be safe with a 3-39. If you think you might increase your point weight to 125 at some point you should consider the 3-49. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll buy two of each and give them a few shots. For that much investment in a dozen arrows, I want to make sure I have the ones my bow likes!

Checking with TAP, both the 3-39 & 3-49 are underspined (weak) for your configuration.
However the 3-60's would be a better choice if you haven't bought those arrows as yet, as they're on the stiffer side of the scale.

I have no idea what TAP is, but the 3-60's are way too stiff and the mass weight is substantial over the 3/49's. You can shoot the 3-60's, but the reason for shooting ACC''s in to increase speed and reduce weight. May as well shoot a ultra lite aluminum and save the big bucks of the ACC carbons. [:-]

I'm not a programmer for TAP, but 3/60 is too stiff for that set up. 3/49's may be stiff with 100 grain heads. I'm not going to argue that TAP isn't a useful program, but the information I have is from Easton's charts which tend to recommend stiffer than what is usually needed and from personal experience. I am using 3/49 ACCs at 27" and 65 lb. DW with a 125 grain head and they are perfectly spined for my set up. I honestly believe that going with a 3/60 would be a mistake. I think you should follow your initial thought and by a couple of each and test it for yourself. Then you'll know what's right for your set up. Good luck.
