Need some techie input

Two bows, Clearwater 38" ata...Martin MV2 40" ata (both are 2-cam). Both set up at exactly 28" amo draw. MV2 draw length "feels" like it's shorter than the Clearwater. Peep is set same height on both. String is drawn to the center tip of my nose. To make them "feel" the same the longer ata MV2 bow must be 1/4" longer draw. I have my own thoughts as to why, just looking to see if anyone has any thoughts.

If you are shooting a release and anchoring under your ear/jaw the reason for the diference would be the string angle due to the ATA diference. Draw a triange a 40 units with a draw of 28 units on graph paper and do the same at 38. Not much diference but enough that the "feel" is going to be different at the tip of you nose.

amos....that was my thinking also, but you never know when you're on the right track. I was trying to think of a way to figure it out, I like the idea of graph paper.

Don't forget to take the size of the cams into account. String angle comes off the cams, not off the axles.

Check the grips and see if one is thicker than the other

Arthur...forgot about that. I'll check when I get home (I'm at work) but I think the MV2 fury-x cams are smaller than the Clearwater hatchet cams which would bring the string angle closer to each other.

tech...both bows are shot off the riser. Amo draw is measured from the deepest part of the grip throat, so thickness shouldn't enter equation (I think).
