Dry the bow off, pluck the string a few times to get exces moister out then wax the string and cable.

If you shoot feathers be sure to let them dry before putting them away if they are stored sealed bow case. If your string is well waxed you should be ok.

RE: question about shooting in the rain?
If you hunt the rain, you should find out how your bow shoots in the rain. I shot a 3-D shoot in the rain and had to add 3-4 yds (was hitting low) to hit where I wanted. Once the rain quit and took a couple shots, the sights were back on. I know you mentioned what to do after the fact, but I thought I would mention during the rain.

RE: question about shooting in the rain?
A larger consideration in my opinion about hunting in the rain besides care of your equipment is the quick loss of a blood trail making tracking difficult. I prefer to not hunt in the rain if all possible because of that reason.
