Arrow?
 

i have some gold Tip arrows and was shootin with my neighbor the other night and he robinhooded one of my arrows there is a small crack at the end that goes mabey 1/2 in. and was wondering if i could just cut that off and renock it and refletch it or should i just throw the arrow away

To be completely safe, throw the arrow away.

Thus said, I have cracked/split the nock end of a few arrows and have cut them shorter with success. However, I very very very carefully inspected them after making the shortening cut to be sure that the crack did not extend further into the shaft.

If you neighbor truly 'robin-hooded' your arrow, then there is probably more damage than is easily observed. I have never tried to repair such an arrow.

Throw the arrow away, sue your buddy for 10 bucks.....no, j/k...don't sue your buddy, but toss the arrow, make him shoot at a different target, and shoot 5 spots.

Whats the fun in that? I take pride in being able to hit other peoples arrows. Especially when they are in no-mans land.

I say throw the arrow away. But, i agree with ewolf. Yes, i know its a lot of money, especially after time, but its always fun to shoot at my buddies arrows.
