carbon arrows

Has any one ever had a carbon arrow blow up on them?

There was a post with a photo going around recently that showed a carbon shoved thru a guys hand. I dont think its a common thing but I guess it does happen. I shoot aluminums myself, not because I'm afraid of a carbon blowing up but because I'm cheap. :D

RE: carbon arrows

I had a pse carbon force arrow disintergrate as it left my bow after about the 5th shot with that arrow. The dozen shafts I got were junk and wouldn't group worth a crap. As soon as I had an arrow break up leaving my bow I retired the remaining shafts to the garbage pail.

I still shoot carbon arrows as IMO it's not the carbon to blame. I've had good luck with beman, carbon express and GT's and have no intension to change from carbon. I also have no intension to shoot carbon force shafts again.[:@].

If you shoot carbon, checking your shafts can't be stressed enough.

yes a guy at the range had one go... I check mine alot and have thrown many out with the slightest crack or stress mark. I may be a little to picky but at least I have a piece of mind.
