carbon arrow speed

How much arrow speed would you gain switching to carbon arrows after using alluminum?

Peter,

That depends on how many grains of arrow weight you drop in the change from alumimum to carbons. Usually you get 1 fps for every 4-5 grains of arrow weight that you drop. So if you drop 100 grains you will pickup about 20-25 fps.

This is true. It all depends. You can gain a lot of speed staying with aluminums. You have to shoot the thin wall ones (.012). But the best is to switch to carbons. Yep, 1 fps per 5 gr loss in weight is about right.
